Job Description
The SAP Senior FICO Consultant will oversee and drive the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, leadership in project teams, and ensuring financial systems align with organizational and regulatory needs. Responsibilities also include mentoring junior staff and future-proofing solutions through ongoing improvement and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end SAP FICO implementation projects—from requirements gathering and solution design to configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into effective SAP FICO solutions.
- Configure and customize the SAP FICO modules (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, CO-OM, CO-PA) to meet specific business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP FICO issues, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data and continuity of operations.
- Mentor junior consultants and deliver end-user training sessions to promote effective system adoption and knowledge sharing.
Must Have
- In-depth expertise with SAP FICO (FI and CO) configuration and integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD).
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, including global regulatory compliance standards (IFRS, IndAS).
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities for business process evaluation and issue resolution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Minimum 7-10 years SAP FICO experience with proven track record of successful project delivery and team leadership.
Nice to have
- SAP FICO certification or S/4HANA project experience for modern system deployment.
- Knowledge of ABAP programming for advanced customizations, report development, or interface solutions.
- Experience with industry-specific financial processes (manufacturing, retail, utilities).
- Familiarity with data migration tools and techniques (data extraction, cleansing, transformation).
- Skills in change management, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management for business transformation initiatives.
